Flower Care Guide
Buying local means your flowers came straight from my garden to your home. With a little care, your flower friends will stay fresh and beautiful longer than flowers from traditional retailers.
Care
prepare the vase
Friends don’t let friends drink out of dirty vases! Prepare a squeaky clean vase with warm water and flower food.
cut the stems
Give each stem a fresh cut at a 45 degree angle. If you wanna go the extra mile, cut the stems under running water.
change the water
Flowers absorb a lot of water! If the water looks cloudy, give the stems a quick rinse & trim before adding to fresh water.
Pro Tip: Once in the vase make sure there is no foliage below the water line (submerged foliage encourages microbial growth that will clog stems and prevent them from absorbing water).
